The MSA Spring Classic ran for four years as a non-competitive, scenic tour for classic cars over 20 years of age.
It offered the recipe for a perfect motoring weekend, combining breath-taking roads and scenic stops with visits to motor sport related venues.
As the routes were designed with classic cars in mind, careful account was always taken of the condition of the roads that were selected and an opening course car was run on the morning of the event to put up arrows and signage through any last minute diversions or tricky spots. And because we know that car troubles can ruin any automotive adventure, the entry fee included mechanical assistance should it be required.
Competitors were supplied with an official Route Book which contained tulip style directions covering the entire event from start to finish. There were a number of manned check points each day, which were pen for a specified duration, to keep drivers on course.
However, there were no timings or penalties on the MSA Spring Classic, so those who would rather not follow the specified route or who would like to deviate from the schedule were free to do so.
A team of event officials with unrivalled experience of organising such events were on hand at all times to deal with any queries or concerns.
