International Motor Sports Limited (IMS) is delighted to announce that entries are now open for this year's hugely popular scenic tour for classic cars which will be staged over the weekend of 23-24 April 2016 and be based at the luxurious Celtic Manor Resort in the beautiful Usk Valley.
The itinerary will include a tour of Herefordshire on Saturday and a circuit of the Cotswolds on Sunday, again featuring a magical mix of great driving roads plus a number of cultural, motor sport and other places of interest - all chosen specifically to provide a memorable weekend of classic motoring. More details can be found HERE.
The MSA Spring Classic is a non-competitive, scenic tour for classic cars. It is open to road cars, including replica cars, manufactured before 31 December 1995.
The event offers the recipe for a perfect motoring weekend, combining breath-taking roads and scenic stops with visits to motor sport related venues.
As the route is designed with classic cars in mind, careful account is taken of the condition of the roads that are selected and an opening course car is run on the morning of the event to put up arrows and signage through any last minute diversions or tricky spots. And because we know that car troubles can ruin any automotive adventure, the entry fee includes mechanical assistance should it be required.
Competitors are supplied with an official Route Book which contains tulip style directions covering the entire event from start to finish. There are a number of manned check points each day, which are open for a specified duration, to keep drivers on course.
However, there are no timings or penalties on the MSA Spring Classic, so those who would rather not follow the specified route or who would like to deviate from the schedule are free to do so.
A team of event officials with unrivalled experience of organising such events will be on hand at all times to deal with any queries or concerns.
The MSA Spring Classic is organised by International Motor Sports Limited (IMS), the commercial subsidiary of the Royal Automobile Club Motor Sports Association Ltd (MSA), the UK governing body of four wheel motor sport.
As well as organising the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone and Wales Rally GB - the UK's round of the FIA World Rally Championship - IMS has managed a portfolio of classic and veteran events since 1986.
